How it works

Discovery: we learn your goals, budget and timeline, and review your home or lot.
Design and pricing: we coordinate a designer, engineer and other consultants from our partner network, and price the design as it develops.
Permits: we prepare and submit permit applications to the City of Ottawa.
Construction: a dedicated project manager runs the build, with written change orders and a shared client portal.

Already have a designer or architect? We also build from your own drawings and work closely with your design team.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between design-build and design-bid-build? With design-build, the builder is part of the team during design. With design-bid-build, drawings are finished first and then priced by contractors, which can lead to redesigns if the budget doesn't fit.

What projects do you offer design-build for? Home additions, whole-home and structural renovations, secondary suites and coach houses, and custom homes.

Do I own the drawings? Ownership of drawings depends on the agreement with the designer. We'll explain it clearly before design starts.
